Wellbeing Is Not a Luxury. It’s a Strategic Advantage

A reflection on my conversation with ACCCSA about health, leadership, and the future of work

In many industrial companies, wellbeing is still treated as a ‘nice-to-have’. Something extra, if there’s time. But that mindset is outdated. During a recent interview with ACCCSA for Corrugando magazine, we explored a new reality: companies that embed wellbeing into their strategy and work culture perform better — plain and simple.

This is not a trend. It’s biology.
People are not machines. And leaders are not robots. Our energy, focus, and resilience depend on how we work — not just how much we work. In high-demand industries like corrugated cardboard, managing fatigue, shift patterns, and daily rhythms is essential.

In the interview, I shared key points such as:

  • Why technology can support wellbeing, but also overload it — if not used wisely

  • How every extra hour a manager works impacts the whole team

  • What it means to design work environments that balance health, safety, and performance

Wellbeing isn’t a cost — it’s a lever
The companies I work with are not standing still. But they also know that pushing harder isn’t sustainable. When wellbeing becomes part of the system, everything changes: sharper thinking, fewer sick days, more engagement, and stronger teams.
